Nestled within the magnificent Bled Castle, the Vina Dornberg wine cellar combines the rich tradition of Slovenian winemaking with a unique castle experience. In the authentic atmosphere of the medieval stone chambers, visitors can enjoy an unforgettable wine experience that brings together history, culture, and exceptional wines.
The castle cellars’ hosts are delighted to share the story of the grapevine, the tradition of winemaking, and the unique characteristics of the selected wines. A particularly special experience is the opportunity to hand-fill your own bottle of wine. Visitors can pour their chosen wine into a bottle, seal it with a cork, and dip the neck into melted beeswax. They then attach the label, tie the bottle with a string, and seal it with sealing wax and the castle stamp. Finally, they receive a certificate of wine quality and confirmation of their own hand-filling.
A visit to the wine cellar at Bled Castle is therefore much more than a wine tasting – it is a true castle experience that allows visitors to connect with tradition and create an unforgettable memory while enjoying the view of Lake Bled.
